Ezio was originally this one off traditional drawing of a black dog with a colorful outfit. Since I have made him a ref sheet and have created a bit of a backstory for him I intend to redo his refernece sheet at some point. His current one was drawn on my phone and I am not particularly happy with the anatomy.

Biography

Early Years

Ezio was born a black lab puppy in a small farming village. He had a pretty normal farm dog life until the day they built the village church. It was decided that he would be buried alive in the church grave yard so he would be sworn in death to protect the church yard forever.

Life as a church grim

Ezio did not understand why the villagers buried him alive. He felt sad, lonely, and betrayed. To some degree he understood he was dead and remembered the villagers speaking about how he would be there to gaurd the church yard forever. But what kind of life is that? In his mind he would have been much happier staying at the farm with his family. Ezio slowly became aquainted with the religion of the humans, something they called The Church of the Fractured Eye. The humans seemed reliant on it, perhaps too much. Any religion that required burying a dog alive couldn't be as good as they seemed to think. Many attempts were made by Ezio to flee but each one was halted by an invisible barrier that seemed to exist around the property and only affect him.

Things Begin to Change

After many years the number of humans living in the village began to dwindle, until not a single one was left and the place was completely abandoned and left to nature. Ezio still remained all alone confined to the church yard. He longed for something to change. To find a way to be free.

Despite Ezio being buried to protect the churchyard from demons and evil spirits he really hadn't encountered any while the humans still lived there. Long after the last human left a demon approached Ezio in the church yard. Instead of being afraid Ezio was excited to have someone that could actually see him to speak to. The demon gave Ezio a offer of freedom. It said it could turn Ezio into a hellhound and he would be able to roam wherever he wished. Ezio quickly and happily agreed to this, without asking what the demon wanted in return.

Notes For Drawing Ezio

  • Ezio can be drawn anthro or feral.
  • Ezio paints his claws. The natural color is black. He can be drawn with any claw color but most often they are painted neon pink.
